Dance Faculty
Colleen Samsel is a graduate of Temple University with a BFA in dance. Colleen's preliminary training started at the Debra Sparks Dance Works, as a member of the Philadelphia Children's Ballet Academy. Continuing her dance education in college, she was exposed to excellent Master Teachers and numerous professional performance opportunities which influenced her ability to become a successful dancer and teacher. Colleen is trained extensively in Ballet/Pointe, Modern, Jazz and Tap. She brings 30 plus years of teaching experience from studios, camps, outreach programs, and musicals in the Philly, Pocono, and Lehigh Valley area. Colleen owned and operated "Colleen Margaret's Dance Elite" in Northeast Philly and "Movement Theater Performing Arts Center" in Nazareth. Currently she owns a private training studio for dance & theater and has been on the faculty at Charter Arts since 2022. Colleen's overall mission in dance is to provide a nurturing, professional environment for youth & adults to train and perform in the Arts!!!
