Patterson, Aaron

Instrumental Music Faculty

Dr. Aaron Patterson, originally of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, teaches Woodwind Technique, grades 9-10 Piano Technique, Chamber Music, Music History, Music Theatre, and Music Theory. He is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (B.S. Music Education, M.M. Saxophone) and Manhattan School of Music (DMA Saxophone). As a professional woodwind artist, Dr. Patterson regularly plays for music theatre pit orchestras throughout the Northeast and is alto saxophonist with Manhattan Saxophone Quartet. He also accompanies his woodwind studio and often conducts the annual school musical, most recently leading "The Mystery of Edwin Drood." The 2024-25 school year is Dr. Patterson's fifth year at Charter Arts and his twenty-first year in the teaching profession. He is a member of American Federation of Musicians, Local 802.
