Beatty, Scott
Literary Arts Faculty
Mr. Beatty earned a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Juniata College, and his M.A. in Creative Writing from Iowa State University. He will complete a M. Ed. degree from DeSales University in Summer 2025.
Before joining Charter Arts in 2021, Mr. Beatty divided his time between teaching English and Creative Writing as an adjunct professor at several Pennsylvania colleges, and working as a freelance author and editorial consultant. He previously worked in magazine publishing and radio broadcasting.
Mr. Beatty’s bibliography includes several hundred comic books and graphic novels, superhero encyclopedias, young adult fiction, and animated tales for companies including DC Comics, Marvel Entertainment, and Hasbro, Inc.
