Miss Vanaman began her time at Charter Arts during the 2017-18 year and has taught US1, US2, Government, Psychology, and Sociology within the Social Studies department since then. Currently, she is the faculty advisor for Student Council. She grew up in Huntingdon Valley, PA before moving to Wilmington, Delaware. Ms. Vanaman attended an arts high school in Delaware called Cab Calloway School of the Arts before returning to Pennsylvania to earn a B.A. in Social Studies Secondary Education from Juniata College. She is also obtaining her M.A. in History from East Stroudsburg University.

Ms. Vanaman has always enjoyed history, creative writing, film studies, and photography, but has an appreciation for all arts subjects. This passion led her abroad to teach English and U.S. History and Culture in the Czech Republic as a part of the U.S. State Department’s Fulbright Program. While there, she was able to travel to various countries across Europe, both with her Czech students and solo. Miss Vanaman hopes to bring her experiences abroad directly to her classroom and share her love of traveling with all the students and staff. She loves working in such a fun and creative community and can’t wait for what each new year brings for Charter Arts!
