Join us for a virtual training session, Mindfulness with Shanti Project – Part 2 on Wednesday, November 18th at 6:00 PM. Mindfulness increases focus, builds resilience, and strengthens our ability to respond rather than automatically react to our environment. In this training, we’ll explore simple mindfulness concepts and strategies for coping with stress and connecting with ourselves and others.
Shanthi Project is a 501(c)(3) education nonprofit providing evidence-based mindfulness services to more than 4,000 children and adults annually across the Greater Lehigh Valley and New Jersey. Committed for more than a decade to education and advocacy, they are an established agency in the Trauma-Informed Education Movement, and the local authority on building resilience in an increasingly complex 21st-century world.
If you were unable to attend Mindfulness with Shanti Project – Part 1, no worries! We still welcome you to attend Part 2! To get an idea of why mindfulness is important and the training that Shanti Project offers, watch these two videos:

This workshop is part of Charter Arts’ Summer Academy, a program of art enrichment workshops that is open to the public.
This workshop is taught by an industry professional with more than twenty years of experience working in casting and as a producer on over 600 commercial, tv and film projects. Participants will learn how the on-camera acting industry ‘really’ works, both regionally and in the larger markets of New York and Los Angeles. Participants will learn critical ‘cold read’ techniques required when auditioning for commercial, tv and film projects. Participants will work in front of the camera each session and will receive individual coaching and critique. In addition, lessons will focus on the skills needed to work effectively with agents, managers, casting directors and directors. Participants will also learn tips of top bookers and how to avoid the biggest mistakes that actors make both in front of the camera and in navigating the business itself. Open to teens entering 8th-12th grades. Limited Enrollment!
